Black Seed Oil From Cold-Pressed Nigella Sativa Seeds with batch reports attesting its purity and potency. 8 oz 250 ml
Method of Farming
The biodiverse approach of farming has allowed this European farm to grow Nigella Sativa (Black Cumin Seed) plants using Zero Chemicals since 2010.
Biodiversity farming involves methods that increase the abundance and diversity of both above and below ground organisms.
These organisms include plants, animals, and microorganisms that strengthen the crops' abilities to withstand pests.
The farmer uses soil protection measures as well as energy-autarkic principles based on wind and solar energy to protect the local environment and the crops.
In the process, the farmer, Mr. Ewald Spitaler, has improved the soil's fertility and crop productivity. The farmer doesn't even like to have his cell phone near the plants.
The farmer used organic seeds and kept using the seeds from each harvest to plant the next crop. So the latest crop (2019) used fifth-generation non-GMO, chemical-free seeds.
The farm, Stork's Nest, is located near a Natural Reserve, Zasavica, in Northern Serbia, Europe. The seeds are slowly cold-pressed and bottled in a facility in Leoben, Austria.
The farm has won the "Energy Globe" award in 2018, 2019, and 2020 for sustainable & integrated production practices in Serbia.
Traceability and Transparency
Every product comes with a QR Code that can be scanned with a smartphone or via a web browser. It will take you to a dynamic web page that will show you everything possible about the specific batch's production from SEED to BOTTLE, especially 3rd-Party lab reports showing the purity and potency of the oil.
You can also see the current batch's lab reports in the images of this product listing. For the digitally signed documents, you can goto https://onhava.com/storksnest0420
The purpose of this radical transparency and traceability is to give you peace of mind. You don't have to rely on lofty claims without evidence whether these claims are from the farmer, seller, or customer testimonials. It's your health, and you deserve to see everything without you have to ask for it even.
It would better if you didn't have to SOLEY rely on the legitimacy of official government and industry certifications like GMP, USDA Organic, trademarked slogans, etc. that brands can acquire.
Transparency in Pricing
Black seed oil from a farm that uses these ethical methods costs more and yields less quantity but more top-quality crops that you can trace back. We think your health and the environment deserve the peace of mind it provides.
So you might be wondering why is our price so much higher than other brands?
We could sell for half or a quarter of the price, too, if we were to blend with other oils and buy from many diverse sources. But that would go against why we started this business in the first place. Your health is priceless. It comes first.
We strive to make a pure and ethically sourced product affordable to everyone, especially black seed oil, which is good to take regularly.
That's why we show full price transparency on our product page, and as demand grows, we will pass the savings to you.
For example, the price breakdown per bottle for the batch we are currently selling (May 2020 Pressing) is as follows:
Stork's Nest's Planting, Growing, Harvesting, Pressing, bottling, and bottle: $15.58, Lufthansa Transit/cargo: $7.73, Clearing USA Customs/FDA/Duties: $7.02, USA Ground Shipping & Handling approx: $14, 3rd Party Lab Test: $2.23.
At Onhava, we strive to provide our customers with the highest quality ethical products while keeping prices affordable for everyone, making healthy living more attainable.
This initial batch we imported, listed above, is limited to only 62 bottles, which is why the per-unit cost of the transit, customs, and lab tests are so relatively expensive.
If we have enough sales and enough interest in this product, we will import larger shipments and pass on as much of the savings as we can to you and still allow Onhava to make enough money to keep our lights on and continue our mission.
